Our Therapy Lab was created to address two critical gaps in mental healthcare: the lack of affordable therapy options for the community, and the limited access to high quality clinical training opportunities for graduate students, particularly those students with marginalized identities.
This program centers on a graduate student led therapy clinic, providing low cost, culturally responsive mental health services while supporting students as they completed the clinical hour requirements of their graduate programs.
A Training Model Rooted in Praxis
Students at Our Therapy Lab do more than see clients.
They receive:
weekly group clinical supervision
biweekly individual clinical supervision
ongoing mentorship from therapists engaged in practice
professional development training
support navigating their professional development and career path
This structure allows students to move beyond “checking the box” and earning their hours and instead we work to develop grounded, reflective, and sustainable clinicians.
We Are Designed to Support Graduate Students with Marginalized Backgrounds
Our Therapy Lab intentionally prioritizes clinical opportunities for:
Black students
Immigrant or 1st generation Americans
Queer and LGBTQ+ students
Students entering the mental health field later in life
These students often face additional barrier when seeking practicum placements, despite bringing valuable lived experience, maturity, and perspective to the work. Our Therapy Lab was built to counter that reality by offering access, support, and respect for who students already are.
At this time, we are not accepting new clients or student interns. We hope to share future updates when and if we resume services.

Thank you for being part of our journey.
